Welcome to Azeroth After Dark. I'm Lyra, night elf lore keeper and collector, and beside me is Grukk, orc raid leader. All four stories tonight come from World of Warcraft Forever, which is its own game, not Classic and not Retail. Good to have you with us. On the rundown: free beta codes in Sweden and Denmark, a secret boss under Dalaran, two wandering pet vendors, and a Paladin cloak only one faction can finish.

We begin with the codes. According to Wowhead, from now until October 21st, World of Warcraft players in Sweden and Denmark can get a free WoW Forever beta code through the online marketplace Tradera. Wowhead describes Tradera as a circular market website, similar to eBay in the United States. You use a promo code on your next ad listing, and the key should arrive within 72 hours of posting. There is one wrinkle, Grukk.

Wowhead's summary lists the promo code as Tradera, while the body of the same post says Forever, so check the article itself before you list anything. Noted. How does this fit the rest of Blizzard's beta marketing so far? Wowhead says Blizzard branched out first in Australia through a McDonald's promotion. Icy Veins reported that Australians could redeem 1,000 points in the MyMaccas app for a digital beta key.

Wowhead adds that the beta will be closing in a few weeks, and expects more Forever promotions as the official launch on November 4th gets closer. From getting into the beta to what players have found inside it. Wowhead reports that a secret boss, Lyn the Ignored, has been discovered in the sewers of the City of Dalaran dungeon. Lyra, walk us through the unlock. Let's put the dungeon up on the big screen.

It is a three step chain, and here it is. You loot a Black Tome from Archmage Arugal's table in Shadowfang Keep, convert it at the Ambermill Leyline Focus in Silverpine Forest, then use it in the sewers. So the tome players have been carrying since Shadowfang Keep finally has a purpose. Wowhead says that room in the sewers had seemed like a dead end until someone used the tome there. Tome of Dalaran is not consumed on use, and Wowhead says it has a short three minute cooldown, in case Lyn is more of a challenge than your group can handle.

All of this is on the Forever beta, so it is subject to change. Warcraft Tavern reports the City of Dalaran as a level 30 dungeon located west of the Alterac Mountains. Our third story is for collectors, also in the Forever beta. Icy Veins reports two wandering vendors, one in Orgrimmar and one in Stormwind, each selling a pet with only one in stock. One in stock means one buyer at a time. Who exactly are we looking for?

Horde players want Mayhoa Skyhoof, who sells a Prairie Wolf Pup Carrier. Icy Veins says players report it sells for around 60 silver, and that this could change after the beta. Lyra, who is the Alliance equivalent, and where does he walk? Lil Timmy sells a White Kitten, also around 60 silver. Icy Veins places him around Cathedral Square and the canals, then across bridges through the Trade District, Old Town and the Dwarven District.

Icy Veins is clear that their respawn rates and restock are unknown in the Forever beta, so there is no timer you can rely on yet. Our final story is a Paladin reward. Wowhead reports that the Divine Storm rune quest chain from Season of Discovery has returned in Forever, and it now awards the Cloak of the Divine Storm. Wowhead credits Aggrend, who said in an interview after BlizzCon that class quests from Season of Discovery would return in Forever.

The full chain is laid out in the post. It is a long one, and here are the key steps. It begins at the Tower of Althalaxx in northern Darkshore and ends back with Delgren the Purifier in Ashenvale. Lyra, can Horde Paladins run that chain right now? Not at the moment. Wowhead says only Alliance players are currently able to complete the quest line, and here is how the post frames Blizzard's position on faction parity.

My analysis, and it is only that. With Paladin weapons for both factions changing through the beta, I expect this gets a look. Wowhead itself says it is possible this is not intentional, and nothing has been announced. That is tonight's rundown: beta codes in Sweden and Denmark, a hidden boss under Dalaran, two roaming pet vendors, and a cloak one faction cannot finish. Three stories came from Wowhead, the pets from Icy Veins.

And all four carry the same asterisk, because this is the Forever beta, with launch set for November 4th. I will admit, the McDonald's beta key is still my favourite detail of the whole campaign. The full posts are linked with this episode. For Azeroth After Dark, I'm Lyra, with Grukk. Catch you on the next one.
