Level 1 wolves in Northshire are dropping Molten Core loot on the WoW Forever beta! Welcome to Azeroth After Dark, I'm Grukk, your orc raid leader. And I've never been this ready to farm a wolf. And I'm Lyra, night elf lore keeper and collector, here to keep his numbers honest. It's all WoW Forever: a podcast that won't quit, raid boss teases, a beta going out in pure chaos, and more. First up? A secret message hiding in a podcast background.

Stick around, the dev team just tipped their hand. Icy Veins caught this one. Fans watching the latest WoW Forever Podcast immediately noticed a message in the show's background, and it said the podcast will continue. Wait, continue? I thought this was a beta-only thing, Lyra. It was. The plan was five episodes, one for each week of the beta. Now Senior Game Designer Josh Aggrend Greenfield's hinting a future episode will be all about server infrastructure.

A whole episode on servers? Honestly, I'd watch that. Podcast's going up on the big screen, and don't go anywhere, raid talk's next. Good call, since Wowhead pulled the raid talk from that same podcast. Lead Encounter Designer Michael Nuthals broke down how WoW Forever raid encounters get designed. Raid bosses! Now we're talking. So how hard are these fights? Here's Nuthals, Grukk. They want folks comfortable bringing their friends, and they talk about beer and pretzels a lot.

Plus a very good Q A team playtests their encounters. Beer and pretzels raiding. I respect that. In the new 10 and 20 player raids, there's a Barrow Deeps boss where you manage a damage buff that comes with a cost, plus a pair of spiders! And an undead crocolisk in Hyjal Summit, where the creature possessing it pops out and you go back and forth between two phases. He also teased a home or manor, and Wowhead's best guess is the new Manor Mistmantle in Duskwood.

Quick one now, but it matters if you were mid dungeon. Wowhead flagged a blue post saying Blizzard would quickly restart the WoW Forever beta at 2 PM Pacific. And players in game got warnings from the server team starting 15 minutes before it went offline. Blizzard's sign off? Just, see you on the other side. Fifteen minutes? Plenty of time to hearth. But the real madness on the beta was the loot. Oh, it really was.

Icy Veins says the End of Beta event is underway, and mobs of all levels are dropping the entire Molten Core loot table. Yes, even those level 1 wolves in Northshire. The whole Molten Core table. From a wolf! Lok'tar, I'm logging in. Easy, Grukk. They're also dropping elixirs that drastically increase stats and damage. It's tailored for level 30s, but the Icy Veins writer still loved seeing their character in almost full Tier 1.

Almost full Tier 1 counts in my book. Tell me there are world bosses too. The world's overloaded with them. Lord Kazzak, Azuregos, even a Super Hogger. And Patchwerk, who gains a level every time he kills someone, so please, don't feed him. A leveling Patchwerk? Terrifying. And Icy Veins has a second report saying it's raining infernals, with other enemies dropping from the sky too, Vanilla beta style.

That's across seven zones, Zephras Isle plus original starting areas like Elwynn Forest, Durotar and Mulgore. Quick context from Warcraft Tavern: the beta opened back in September with a level 20 cap. And normal mobs are dropping the Staff of Dominance and the Quick Strike Ring. Lyra, is that gear actually any good? Not really. Icy Veins says the epics have low level requirements and don't have the full stats.

Still a whole lot of epics, though. Which is all I heard. Wowhead has Blizzard's official timing, and it's tight: the beta ends at 10 AM Pacific on Friday, October 23rd, after 24 hours of shenanigans and upheaval. Wowhead adds that Johanna Faries tweeted Azuregos and Kazzak would make an appearance. And MrGM found that many loot tables are now just dropping epics. 10 AM Pacific, got it. So is any of this loot coming with us to launch?

Nope, and Blizzard says so plainly. This one time only celebration almost certainly includes items and experiences that won't be part of WoW Forever after it launches on November 4th. Fair. Enjoy it while it lasts. Back to the podcast, Lyra, because Wowhead confirms episode 5 is live, and it's the End of Beta Special. And the couch is crowded. Host Countdown To Classic sits down with special guest Meeix, plus Aggrend, Clay Stone, Ana Resendez and Michael Nuthals.

Production, engineering and the raid boss guy, all in one room. Server talk, then boss talk. In that order. Then Blizzard's own post is the official word. It says the episode has insights from the development team about the beta, and about WoW Forever arriving globally on November 4th. Globally, November 4th! So Lyra, is this the one to watch before launch? If you want the devs on the beta in their own words, yes.

Grab some beer and pretzels and settle in. What a lineup. A podcast that's sticking around, beer and pretzels raids, and a beta going out raining epics. It all comes from Icy Veins, Wowhead and Blizzard, and the full posts are linked with the episode. And remember, the chaos stays in the beta. Want more WoW Forever news?
