Good evening, and welcome to Azeroth After Dark. World of Warcraft Forever has added a new social feature called Recent Allies. To be clear, this is Forever, the reimagined original Azeroth, not Classic and not Retail. Wowhead reports the Recent Allies window is now in the game. Here's how it works. Every time you group with a player, their record is saved in the Recent Allies pane. That record keeps their name, current level, class, the location where you interacted, and the activity you did together.

If they're online, there's a one-click invite button. You can also pin allies so they always sit at the top of the window. Wowhead frames it as an extension of the friends list. They tie it to Blizzard's comments in the Game Informer and Windows Central interviews about friction leading to a more social experience. One piece of analysis from me. I think the one-click invite is the part that actually turns a stranger into a regular.

That's the report from Wowhead, and the full post is linked below. For Azeroth After Dark, good night from Azeroth.
