Good evening, and welcome to Azeroth After Dark. I'm Grukk, here with Lyra, and tonight retail WoW gets a huge weekly hotfix round covering class tuning, trinkets and raid nerfs. That's right, Grukk. Icy Veins has collected the hotfixes from September 21st through the 28th, and the class tuning pass touches nearly every class across PvE and PvP. Start with the headline number. Discipline Priest Atonement healing is increased by 40 percent when not in a raid or battleground instance, and Penance mana cost is down 20 percent.
Blizzard's notes say Discipline wasn't able to dish out proper healing in dungeons, so the bonus is aimed squarely there. In PvP, Atonement is no longer increased by 40 percent. Lyra, what happened with the trinkets? Three Season 1 trinkets were nerfed and several Season 2 ones buffed. Gaze of the Alnseer loses 10 percent primary stat, and Algeth'ar Puzzle Box loses 25 percent mastery. And in the raid, with weekly restarts, Ula'tek's Stone Venom damage is reduced by 40 percent on all difficulties.
Boiling Venom on Mythic is now an Important Aura. My read, and this is analysis, not the post: a 40 percent cut to the boss's signature damage should move a lot of guilds past that fight this week. Our thanks to Icy Veins and author Starym for the full summary, which is linked below. For Azeroth After Dark, I'm Grukk, she's Lyra, and that's your reset. Good night.
