Paladins just knocked Druids off the top spot as Midnight's most played class! Welcome to Azeroth After Dark, I'm Grukk, and next to me is Tinkra Sparkwhistle, the gnome who reads every test build before the ink dries. Before the ink dries is generous, I read 'em before they finish downloading. Hey everyone! We've got readable books for your house, a pet riding a flying book, Winter Veil tree defense, and more.

Plus a Dungeons and Dragons book and a fast renown trick. But first, those books, because this time they actually open. Wowhead reports four new Lorewalking stories are coming in retail patch 12 point 1 point 7, and each one looks set to reward a lore book as house decor. It's on the test realm, so subject to change. Wait, I can actually read them? On a shelf in my house, not clogging up my bank? Yep, fully readable.

They join the older Lorewalking decor, which picked up the ability to be read in patch 12 point 1 point 5. Wowhead thinks this could be a test run for readable books in housing. Folks have wanted this since housing was announced, and honestly, an orc with a library is overdue. Speaking of books, there's a much bigger one headed for your table. Oh, this one's a treat. Icy Veins got a sneak peek at the Dungeons and Dragons fifth edition World of Warcraft expansion, and it launches November 17th.

Zug zug, tabletop raiding! Can a normal group of four or five take down Arthas, or do I need the whole guild? Four or five works, Grukk. Icy Veins says small groups can face raid bosses like Illidan and Arthas, with Chromie guiding adventures through alternate timelines. Wargamer adds the book promises 11 species and nine subclasses. Now look at this number. Icy Veins says the book has over 120 artworks, including full page prints.

I'd buy it for the art alone. Back to patch 12 point 1 point 7. Wowhead datamined a toy on the test realm called the Hexed Tiny Tome, and it looks like it lets your companion pet follow you on an enchanted flying book. Wait, my battle pet gets its own flying book? Okay, where do I farm it? It's listed as dropping from Talebound, the new roguelite mode, which the Warcraft Wiki's patch page calls the macabre world of Talebound.

And it's datamined, so subject to change. Pair it with Narcissa's Mirror to change your pet's model, and boom, a mini me riding a book. Now stick around, 'cause the class rankings just got shaken up. Icy Veins crunched Data for Azeroth's max level numbers for Midnight Season 2, and Paladin is number one at 12 point 6 percent, passing Druid! Druid slides to second at 11 point 3 percent, Hunter's third at 9 point 3.

And Paladin grew from 11 point 2 percent at launch. Light be praised. Okay, Tinkra, top five on the screen, who's climbing behind them? Oh, this part's fun. Shaman had the biggest climb, ninth to fourth. Priest gained the most share, from under 5 percent to 7 point 1, and Warlock took the biggest drop, fifth to tenth. Want a reason to stay? Winter Veil's coming to your neighborhood! Wowhead datamined new achievements on the 12 point 1 point 7 test realm for a Tree Defense activity.

Datamined, so subject to change. It seems to have power ups, a Rotten Pummeler, punting tree attackers, and returning stolen presents. Hold on. There's really an achievement for getting pummeled? Ten times, Grukk! It's called Season's Beatings. And here's the list, including one where you punt 100 tree attackers. Got alts to level? Don't go anywhere. Wowhead datamined four new potions on the 12 point 1 point 7 test realm that grant a 30 percent bonus to experience!

They're Bind to Warband, and each one's named after one of Talebound's four stories, like Darkhaven and Greenthistle Wood. Look at that, 30 percent more experience from quests and kills for two hours. So where do they come from? Ehh, that's unclear. Wowhead thinks they might reward finishing Talebound stories, but it isn't confirmed, and no release date for the patch has been announced. Last one, and it's not on a test realm.

Wowhead says Aqir Invasions from patch 12 point 1 point 5 are a quick way to catch up on Midnight faction renown. It runs every hour, on the hour. Stage 1 is ten minutes of objectives, then an Aqir Monstrosity spawns, and beating it your first two times each week gets you an Aqir Research Token. Okay, so how much rep does one token get me? Here's the breakdown: 2,500 with Silvermoon Court, Amani Tribe, Hara'ti or Singularity, or 1,250 with Zul'jarra's Forces.

Turn it in to Matildeux Osril in Silvermoon City. That's the show! Readable books, a flying pet tome, Paladins on top, Winter Veil chaos and potions for your alts. Our stories came from Wowhead and Icy Veins, with research from the Warcraft Wiki and Wargamer. Full posts are linked with the episode, and remember, datamined finds can still change.
