Good evening, you're watching Azeroth After Dark, and tonight every story is WoW Forever. With me, Grukk, the orc raid leader who reads loot tables for fun, and Tinkra Sparkwhistle, the gnome engineer who speed reads beta builds. Lok'tar, Lyra. Loot tables are bedtime stories with better rewards. Glad to be here. Tonight, a Make-A-Wish quest returning, a hundred thousand dollar duel tournament, hidden items, hidden crit rules, and more.

We start with the one that matters most. Wowhead reports Blizzard is working on putting Ezra Chatterton's Make-A-Wish quest into WoW Forever. Grukk, what is that quest? Kyle's Gone Missing, out in Mulgore. You help Ahab Wheathoof feed his dog, Kyle the Frenzied. And Ezra recorded Ahab's voice lines himself, which is why Horde players never forgot it. It was built in The Burning Crusade, so it was missing from Forever.

Players kept asking, and Blizzard's reply was short. We're working on it, stay tuned. No date has been announced. From a tribute to a brawl. Over on the WoW Forever beta, the dueling tournament prize pool has doubled to one hundred thousand dollars. A hundred thousand dollars for duels? Tinkra, who is paying for that? Icy Veins says creators including TipsOut, Xaryu and Esfand started it at fifty thousand, and TimTheTatman added another fifty thousand.

And the details are locked in. October 17th and 18th, Horde side, PvP ruleset, level 30, and you register on their Discord. Staying on the beta, the Druid cat form quest bug should now be fixed. Tinkra, what was breaking? The cat spirit quest chain was bugged, and Wowhead says it bottlenecked everyone unlocking cat form. Josh Greenfield posted that it should now be resolved. Good. A Druid stuck in caster form is just an angry gardener.

Same developer, much bigger tease. Josh Greenfield hinted at a Blackrock Depths style mega dungeon for WoW Forever. Hold on, what did he actually say, Tinkra? Four words. Hold our beer. Blizzard's panel recap lists nine new dungeons including Blackmaw Hold, and Wowhead's guess is that one is the mega dungeon. That teaser picture is doing a lot of work. The original Blackrock Depths has around twenty encounters and takes hours, so count me in.

Less fun, more rules. Icy Veins reports Blizzard has reiterated the gold buying policy for WoW Forever. Real money transactions are banned, and the beta is no exception. The new emphasis is that they'll increasingly act against buyers, not only sellers. Tinkra, what happens to the gold itself? They remove the illicit gold from the recipient, and further actions can include closing accounts. Blizzard also warns about gifts from strangers.

Now the mechanics story of the night. Players found a hidden PvP rule on the Forever beta that halves crit bonuses. Melee crits drop from 200 percent to 150 percent against players. Spell crits go from 150 percent to about 125 percent. Only the bonus is halved, not the whole hit. Let's roll the BlizzCon Deep Dive on the big screen. There's more in the full post, but Tinkra, who suffers most? Icy Veins flags Frost Mage, Destruction Warlock and Elemental Shaman.

Blizzard said at BlizzCon that Resilience isn't being added, and this is beta, so it can change. From hidden rules to hidden items. Icy Veins counted how much of WoW Forever Blizzard kept away from dataminers. Forty percent of all items shipped without their stats. That's 12,594 hidden items out of more than 31,800. How many have players cracked open so far? 4,419 discovered in the beta, 8,175 still hidden.

Also missing, 75 mounts and 1,773 spells. Last story, and it's a maybe. Wowhead spotted a possible Arena hint in the Riverglades, and Forever launches November 4th per Blizzard's panel recap. A hint where exactly? Powderfuse Port, a neutral Goblin hub. An N P C named Jazzle Cheapshot stands by a small caged arena and says come back when he gets the place up and running. In The Burning Crusade, Goblins were who you talked to for Arena queues.

Wowhead calls this a hint, not an announcement, and that's fair. That's your lineup. A tribute coming home, a hundred thousand dollar duel, a mega dungeon tease, and thousands of items still in the dark. My pick is the mega dungeon. Hold our beer sounds like a promise to me. Mine is the crit rule, and remember, beta numbers can still change before launch. Tonight's stories came from Wowhead and Icy Veins, with Blizzard's own panel recap for context, and the full posts are linked with this episode.

Good night, and may Elune light your road back to Azeroth.
