Lok'tar, good evening! You're watching Azeroth After Dark, and tonight is all retail: a tiny hotfix batch, a Brewfest loot fix, new raid boss music datamined, and a fresh stack of test realm class changes. Morwen Ashgrave, arena veteran and professional hype puncturer, welcome back. Happy to be here. I'm already staring at two lines of hotfix notes, so set your expectations at ankle height and you'll have a lovely evening.

Durgan Stoutbrew's on my left, the dwarf who was drinking in Ironforge before most of us rolled a character. Good to have you. Glad to be here, lad. Any night with Brewfest on the list is a good night. And Lyra, our lore keeper and collector, the one who actually reads every line of a blue post. Welcome. Somebody has to, Grukk. One of tonight's stories is a raid boss getting his own music, so I'm comfortable.

Right, moving. Icy Veins has the Midnight patch 12 point 1 hotfixes from September 29th, and it's a two issue batch. One raid fix, one Brewfest fix, that's the whole list. Two entries. Icy Veins even says the hotfixes are getting smaller and smaller, which this deep into a live patch is quietly good news. So what's the raid one, Morwen? Somebody says threat and my old tanking hand starts twitching.

Ula'tek, in the Venomous Abyss. Mother's Wrath could be cast at someone who isn't the current target, if a non target had higher threat but hadn't passed the threat threshold to force a target change. That's Blizzard's exact wording. And Ula'tek matters. Icy Veins' raid guide calls him the eighth and final boss of the Venomous Abyss, an eight boss raid for Midnight Season 2. So that's a last boss mechanic landing on the wrong head.

Wowhead posted the same batch, and they lead with the other half: Coren Direbrew. Durgan, Brewfest loot, your name's carved in the barrel. Aye. Items that drop from Coren Direbrew should now have the required level set to the player who receives the item. They can still be traded, but a lower level player has to reach the required level before they equip it. So farming the boss and handing loot to a fresh alt still works, the alt just has to wait?

That's how the note reads. And you've got time: Wowhead's Brewfest guide says the 2026 event started September 20th and ends October 6th at 10 AM Pacific. Guide also says Coren can be queued through the Dungeon Finder, so it's a daily habit for another week. Now, the bit that actually made me sit up. Over to the patch 12 point 1 point 5 test realm, still retail. Wowhead datamined new music for the raid boss Kith'ix.

Lyra, yours. It is. Kith'ix is the new one boss raid in 12 point 1 point 5, part of the Midnight story. After Ula'tek's defeated, Kith'ix has been unbound, and you face him with the help of Lady Liadrin. One boss, his own score, and a paladin legend at your shoulder? Lyra, can we hear it? First track, up on the big screen. Fair warning: it's datamined off a test realm, so it can change or never ship.

Warcraft Wiki calls the raid The Unbinding of Kith'ix, and says raid testing starts September 16th. There's a second track, so roll it. No release date for 12 point 1 point 5 has been announced, but I reckon they're building to something big. Last story, same 12 point 1 point 5 test realm. Blizzard posted this week's development notes, class changes and bug fixes, and Wowhead's got the full list. Lyra, what shape is it?

Mostly a bug fix week. Evoker, Hunter, Mage, Monk, Rogue, Shaman and Warrior all get entries, plus one PvP line and one interface line. Only a couple actually move numbers. Here's the number people will screenshot. Melt Armor damage increased by 100 percent, Augmentation Evoker, Scalecommander. That's the notes' own wording, and it's test realm only for now. One hundred percent! Durgan, tell me the Warrior line is just as loud.

Not as loud, but it's the interesting one. Protection Warriors with Colossus: Practiced Strikes has an extra effect now, Execute and Revenge rage cost reduced by 10. Blizzard notes those were already active in last week's build. The rest is polish, and I like it. Assassination Rogues get an updated weapon trail on Mutilate and a new Crimson Tempest animation, and the Trading Post preview settings now remember your choice when you swap between items.

So: two hotfixes live, everything else test realm and subject to change. That came from Icy Veins and Wowhead, and the full posts are linked with the episode. That's your lot. Go tap a keg with Coren before October 6th, keep one eye on that test realm, and we'll see you next time on Azeroth After Dark.
